Meet Anucha Browne
Founder, CoachAnucha.com | Executive Leader | Advocate
Anucha Browne is a distinguished executive leader and career coach with over forty years of experience spanning the corporate, nonprofit, and sports sectors. As the founder of CoachAnucha.com, she leverages her extensive background to empower professionals—from students to C-suite executives—with the courage, integrity, and perseverance needed to thrive in the modern workplace.
Throughout her career, Anucha has held high-impact roles at some of the world’s most influential organizations, consistently bridging the gap between business excellence and social impact:
- Social Justice & Advocacy: As the former Chief Impact Officer at Tides, Anucha directed strategy and operations to shift resources to historically marginalized communities. Previously, as Chief Advocacy and Engagement Officer for UNICEF USA, she managed a $500 million fundraising goal and pioneered domestic programs for vulnerable children.
- Sports Executive Leadership: Anucha served as the NCAA Vice President of Women’s Basketball Championships, where she elevated the sport’s national profile and strategic direction. Her tenure as Senior VP of Marketing and Business Operations for the New York Knicks established her as one of the highest-ranking female executives in professional sports; she demonstrated extraordinary resilience by prevailing in a landmark sexual harassment and retaliation case against Madison Square Garden and the Knicks—a victory that remains a pivotal moment for workplace justice in the industry.
- Corporate Strategy: During an 11-year tenure at IBM, Anucha held senior marketing and sales roles, successfully integrating technology with global platforms including the NBA, the Olympics, and the PGA.
Anucha’s leadership is rooted in her background as an elite student-athlete at Northwestern University. A two-time Wade Trophy finalist and the first woman in NCAA history to record six consecutive 30-plus-point games, she was inducted into the Northwestern Hall of Fame and twice named Big Ten Player of the Year. She also represented the US National Team, earning a Gold Medal at the 1985 William Jones Cup.
A dedicated advocate for equity, Anucha was the recipient of the prestigious Kennedy King Award for her service to others. She was named one of Sports Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” and recognized as a Woman of Power and Influence by the National Organization for Women (NOW). She currently serves on the board of Legends of the Ball and has previously contributed to the boards of Heartland Alliance, the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, and the Children’s Village.
Anucha holds a BS in Communications from Northwestern University and an MS in Communications from Florida State University.
During The Egypt Experience Anuche will facilitate the session focused on Establishing a Leadership Legacy. Some leaders create organizations, some inherit. In all scenarios leaders should strive to make organizations better, and the story that is told of of their impact should serve as a north star for future leaders.
